- Consider CFFC
in your estate planning. We have been named as a beneficiary in several
wills. This is a great way to support the poor in developing countries.
- Consider tax planning
options of transferring
stocks or bonds to Canadian Food for Children. The benefits of
transferring stocks or bonds to a qualified charity is that
neither party pays the capital gains. CFFC issues a
charitable tax receipt to the donor as a "gift in kind". CFFC
is able to sell the stocks or bonds as soon as the
cash value
is approved by the Canada Revenue Agency.
- Consider donations to CFFC in lieu
of gifts (Christmas, birthdays,
Easter etc.)
- Donate
goods or services such as new school
supplies, printed brochures or business cards, advertising etc.
(tax receipts are issued for "gifts
in kind")
